Does it sound as good as an analog Harrison console? NO. I don't know about having a real console in the box, but what ever is in there sounds great. This is a far more intuitive approach than having to open EQ and compression in separate windows. I love having the EQ and dynamics easily available in the mixer window. The mixes I've done on it sound much better than I can get out of logic. This is a fantastic sounding piece of software. I found this thread doing a quick google search on Harrison Mixbus. I use it to exclusive mix/master stems/tracks that were basic FXd already.Hi guys. Just like in SONAR 999 out of 1000 will run smoothly but that 1 person just can't get to the bottom of the problem and they "assume" it's the program and not their setup/config. This leads me to believe that something in your system seup/config that is conflicting with Mixbus causing these headaches. The plug vendor has never responded back. Funny though, the 32bit version in 32bit works without a hitch. Harrison knows about it but refuses to dig into it because the demo version (one version behind the official release) works fine. I will admit that there is one plugin that I can consistently crash MB with. I've used version 2.5 (the old 32bit only version), V3 and now V4.

I know this does not help and people generally get tired of hearing it but I had none of these problems with Mixbus which is installed on the same machine as SONAR, Reaper, Studio One 3 Pro and Samplitude. Looks good, reasonable price but there is too much to do to get it going.

I love new DAWS and am willing to give all a crack but this is just too complicated. I checked the box in prefs to prevent the web page opening but it still opens. Jonthebass MB32 has crashed on me twice now and not forgetting the auto Website homepage when booting up. In my recent foray into SO3P I was told to stop thinking like a SONAR user to understand it.

Grrrr I use the menu item "Import" and it has a dialog that allows you to decide how to create the tracks. Pity as I was looking forward to playing around with it. In mix bus it puts all files on the same track. For instance, If I want to drag and drop 13 drum wavs into Logic, St 1 or PT I simply Highlight all files and drag them in. I like the look of it but I just cant seem to do easy tasks without having to do a whole load of things. Thank you for your vids and I hope you will share some more. So it seems for me that I will carry on with Sonar when it comes to manage midi and loops ,but Mixbus brings something quite organic when it comes to audio( which is my main musical activity). Seems quite short ,but I could make a piano work ,with much higher buffer settings than what I can do in Sonar but it was almost playable. Mixbuss lacks all the tweaks you can adjust in Sonar to make it work well ,so managing latency and CPU charges It seems like Mixbuss is quite usable when it comes to audio and the sound is something that is not easy to achieve else where even by inserting tons of plug-ins, maybe one day comes when you get tired of this sound but let us see.

To come back in the heart of the thread, I bought the license for Mixbus and it is your fault Geoff because your vids showed something I never found easy with Sonar ,meaning trigger a guitar in real Time with Rapture pro sounds ,though I think it is possible with every decent software and Sonar is included in the wagon but I am somewhat deaf and dumb when it comes to technical means. 2017 has been a strange year, lots of " gone by" though Sonar is not the toughest one,it is in the train,but that is personnal.
